The second time we got to meet Su Ansell, this time we spoke in some length about the Bauhaus and some of the people involved, its brief history and how it was influence to the designs of the time and even to current date.
We continued on to review our images on site specific designs. People had looked at it in a differant manner as what i had, i found the design in locations and previous functional buildings/objects that nature by time or weathering had turned what was once normal to now a piece of artwork.
The true definition of site specific would be of the environment being taken into account with the design in mind, be it finding a location to place or create your design, or designing because a site has inspired it for that location. I however still feel alot of things can become site specific due to its presence, Roche Rock was my example as such, built by a hermit as a leper outpost, away from everyone, carved out of the local granite, but time has worn into the stone to create amazing character and style into the now ruined building.
