Further progress of "The Roaches" model.
Blogger been playing me up with uploads for pics, so a fair few all coming up now as it allows me to upload.

A few visuals of the model making process of "The Roach".
Box modeled.

A concept visual for "The Roaches" from my sketchbook. I am such a big sketchbook doodle junkie, but it helps me get the models right when i come to make them 3d, and i enjoy drawing so its a good excuse and im sticking with it...for now.

Well deadline for the animation to be in place for game City closing in super fast, had a few rigging issues which time wont permit me to fix completly in time and animate, so in my sneakiness ive rigged a seperate model with morpth targets to allow for a differant scene with emotive facial expressions... would just need to cut to a differant shot using the models stunt double.

Well the rig nearly finished, a few envelope issues, but all in all its pretty much done and ready to animate.
Note to self on rigging orientation constraints ALIGN not link!!!

The voodoo Doll for the Game City exhibit, falloff map used again, like this texture effect as it feels more drawn, less cold which i find with alot of cg images.

Begun construction of the body to work alongside the head, again trying to focus on the *model to animate* philosophy.

Early stage screen of the Evil Imp in 3DSMax. like the idea of a few earings in the ear, but will see how it works when model is closer to completion wether it works with the models style or not.
Time to date 1 hour 3DSmax time

An experiment with modeling ...again, this time for my own pleasure. ive decided to make a stylized head, less cartoonlike and allow me to explore textures more. If the head works, i will craft a body to go with it.

This started when i could not complete a model of a nose as i found it difficult to get angles to work to follow a head around... aka flat faces seemed easy, making it folow the contours of a real face so to speak was not.

prefer this setup, shows a little more life.
Well a composition im happy with, next step to play around with the images to produce the advert itself, shame it will be in Yellow/black/white scale in the Yellow pages.
