The advert animation project really brought my Max skills up a few notches. I forced myself to sit and watch tutorials, listen and take on board all the advice I could gather on modeling and "played" with the models within max until I felt comfortable, (I wanted to get the same sense of anticipation, as I would as if I was about to model with a non digital medium).
A sketchbook near full of ideas generating and doodles eventually brought me to the final designs for my Salesman and Troll. The rigging i stumbled over and continued on thinking it would all work out, however after spending a great deal of time animating and bringing the files into Adobe premiere, I realised to my horror that the animation did indeed look terr able. The badly rigged and boned models moved like throwbacks from a Thunderbirds cartoon, so I started over, right back to the bare bones literally, resetting them all to the joints correctly and then re-rigging them... this was an unemotional moment for me, the same moment shared by crazy people before murderous rampages, fortunately I got stuck into the project and improved upon the original by a substantial amount.

In conclusion i would say i developed my awareness of the animating process further still during the course of this project, enough to want to restart when i saw the poor outcome of the all important craft of the model and rig.
